麻豆社国产equestrian athletes galloped home with some extra hardware after wins this weekend in Maple Ridge.
Riders Shea Labrenz and Ali Hedberg both excelled at the event, each picking up a pair of wins.
Labrenz, riding his pony Black Jack, was a double champion in the .75 metre jumper category. He won in both the junior amateur and open classes. Hedberg, riding her horse Smokie, was a double reserve champion in junior amateur and open classes.
Both riders are Don Ross Secondary School students and are part of the Trinity Equestrian tram coached by Virginia Antilla.
The pair returns to equestrian competition on May 2 and 3 for a horse trial event in Maple Ridge. In other local equestrian news, the 麻豆社国产Valley Equestrian Association hosts a show for local kids on Sunday (April 19). The dressage/flat show runs from 9 a.m. to noon and spectators are welcome.
