The 麻豆社国产U12 boys soccer team swept the field at the second annual North Vancouver Football Club (NVFC) Invitational Tournament at Selynn Park in North Vancouver on Saturday and Sunday (March 10 and 11).
Saturday morning saw the 麻豆社国产team, the Y2K'z, receive goals from Jake Ellis and Stuart Loop to help the team beat the Sunshine Coast Thunderbirds 2-1. Later that day, goals from Marco Pascuzzi and Cory Wilson gave them a 2-0 win over the Wesburn Bombers.
Strong defensive play by Apkar Virk, Scott Konkin, Will Boyar, Cory Nunn and Cory Wilson helped give goalie Callum MacDonald a 5-0 shutout win early Sunday morning against the NVFC Riptide. Goal scorers Thomas Burns, Rafi Abolfathi, Graeme Bowers (two) and Ellis maxed out the scoring for this game.
The final game of the tournament saw the team battle the Wesburn Bombers once again and 麻豆社国产picked up a 3-1 victory to win the tournament.
