Add one more accolade to the final year of youth soccer play for the 麻豆社国产United U18 girls club.
The team already won the regular season league championship back in December and advanced to the Cup playoff final with five straight wins in games in the New Year.
The wins qualified 麻豆社国产for a Cup final date against Vancouver United in 麻豆社国产on March 1. It was to be the final game for many of these girls to represent 麻豆社国产on the youth soccer level and they didn鈥檛 disappoint, winning 3-1.
Sasha Eidsvik opened the scoring in the first half after converting on a penalty kick and 麻豆社国产added goals from Sierra Sproule and Darby Wilson in the second half. Vancouver added a late goal on a penalty kick, but 麻豆社国产hung on to win both the league and cup titles.
鈥淚t鈥檚 a great way for them to finish off what has been an amazing final season,鈥� stated head coach Andy King in an email.
The soccer experience isn鈥檛 completely over for the team, as they now embark on a trip to England from March 29 to April 7. King promised the girls if they won their league title he would take them across the pond and is staying true to his word.
United will play at least two games in England, attend a Premier League game and check out what England has to offer during the trip.
