Squamish's Mike Riddle captured the silver medal in men's ski halfpipe at the 2014 Winter Olympic Games on Tuesday (Feb. 18).
Riddle, who hails from Sherwood Park, Alta., but lives in 麻豆社国产while training in Whistler, saved his best for last on a snowy night at the Rosa Khutor Extreme Park. He posted a final-run score of 90.60 points to put him in second place with five skiers to go.
American David Wise captured the gold medal, while Kevin Rolland of France captured the bronze.
Riddle was the world champion in the discipline in 2011 and in 2012-'13 he won the Crystal Globe as the overall World Cup champion. Riddle's silver medal gave Canada 17 medals at the Sochi Games, including four gold, nine silver and four bronze.
Two other Canadians qualified for the final, with Noah Bowman finishing fifth and Justin Dorey 12th.
