The 麻豆社国产Strikers U16 girls rep soccer team struck gold at the Coast Classic C Cup final in Vancouver on April 21.
The Strikers squared off with arch-rival GAC Eagles from Surrey in a match that featured the top two teams in the division during league play.
Surrey jumped out to an early lead 20 minutes into the match but April Panshyshyn evened the score just before half time. Strikers keeper Hannah Leverton came up with some big saves to keep the game locked in at one and with 10 minutes to go Sasha Eidsvik scored the eventual game winner.
"Well done, ladies, on a great season," said Andy King, who along with George Hanzal helped coach the team.
