Successful provincials for 麻豆社国产bikers

Several young riders medal at high school event

麻豆社国产bikers cleaned up at the B.C. High School Mountain Bike Provincials in Salmon Arm on May 28.

Team 麻豆社国产member Mikayla Martin took home silver in the Bantam Female division. The Don Ross Secondary School (DRSS) student posted a time of 37 minutes, 59.6 seconds in the eight-kilometre race. Her teammate and classmate Ethan Toom grabbed the silver in the Bantam Male category. Toom placed 1:37.5 behind winner Austin Reith of Whistler.

Howe Sound Secondary School student Griffin Dale also took home some hardware, capturing silver in the Senior Male group, finishing seven seconds behind Salmon Arm native Jake Kitchen.

DRSS student Luke Di Marzo appeared to be on his way to be joining the aforementioned 麻豆社国产residents on the podium but a broken chain at the six-kilometre mark cost him the race lead. After stopping to repair the chain, Di Marzo finished fifth.

Other local finishers included: Huntington Jasperton, seventh in Bantam Male; Cameron Dare, seventh in Juvenile Male; Harry Head, 12th in Bantam Male; and Tak Gray, 13th in Bantam Male.
