SwimFaster excels at Hollyburn

Several young swimmers post strong results in first meet

SwimFaster athletes from 麻豆社国产hit the water for the first time as a group at the Hollyburn Country Club and returned home with some strong results.

Linnea Uunila took home first place in the 50-metre breaststroke, third place in the 50 freestyle and a top-10 finish in the 200 individual medley. The 10-year-old from Valleycliffe Elementary has competed in several triathlons including the 麻豆社国产Youth Triathlon and the North Shore Spring Triathlon.

Alexander Fujimagari fared well with a trio of second place finishes. The 12-year-old grabbed second-place honours in the 50 freestyle, 50 breaststroke and the 50 backstroke.

Other locals competing were: Hailey Gagne (17th in 25 breaststroke, 10th in 25 freestyle and 15th in 25 backstroke), Aquinnah Flores Sands (sixth in 25 backstroke, 11th in 25 breaststroke and 48th in 50 freestyle), Christian Campbell (40th in 50 freestyle, 11th in 50 backstroke and 38th in 50 breaststroke) and Justine Lalli (11th in 25 freestyle and seventh in 25 backstroke).
