Team 麻豆社国产heads to Cali

Members of mountain bike club attend camp in California

Sunny California proved to be a good training ground for a handful of Team 麻豆社国产athletes.

Several members of the mountain bike club headed south for a Cycling BC high performance training camp, which included a pair of high-level races amongst all camp attendees.

Team 麻豆社国产riders at the camp included: Sean Fincham, Luke Di Marzo, Ethan Toom and Hunter Verner. Rhys Verner was also set to attend, but was unable to make the trip due to illness.

Goals for the camp were to increase aerobic capacity, build mental resiliency, work on recovery techniques, build team unity and race high-level races.

Athletes participated in both the US Cup Bonelli Park and Fontana City National races during the camp. Top 麻豆社国产finishers were: Fincham (ninth at Bonelli Park and fifth at Fontana City) and Di Marzo (fifth at Bonelli Park and ninth at Fontana City).

Di Marzo said the Bonelli Park race was challenging, but fun.

鈥淚t was a tough one with the heat and a stacked field including last years Jr. World MTB and CX Champion,鈥 he stated in a press release. 鈥淚 raced hard and ended up in fifth place, this was a huge confidence boost to go into the rest of the season feeling strong.鈥

Team 麻豆社国产has a busy coming months with the Junk Yard Dog race in Surrey on April 18, the Sunshine Coaster on May 2 and the Orecrusher on May 9.
