Local riders traveling all over North America - and even Scotland -聽to compete

Team 麻豆社国产members continue to make an impact in races taking place all across North America, with strong finishes at every stop.

Miranda Miller made her way to Vernon, N.J., for the U.S. Open of Mountain Biking, hoping to improve on what she considered a disappointing result at the first Canada Cup race in Quebec on May 22.

"After not putting together a very good run at Tremblant, I was keen to take my time and work out my kinks at the Open," Miller wrote in an email. "After making some mistakes and coming fourth in my seeding run, I knew where to make improvements and felt confident I could finish under three minutes."

Things were looking good for Miller until she hit one of the final corners going into the Redbull drop.

"It was rough going in and I just washed out in the loose corner," she wrote, "although thankfully not falling off the drop or down the wood,I have to say it was annoying. I was told I was 'fastest' and clean through the rock garden, so to slide out there was pretty ironic."

Miller ended up in fifth place but will now focus on Scotland, where she will take on the Fort William World Cup.

"I am really excited to return," she said. "It's about five years since I was here and the track is so much fun - very fast. The weather has been really terrible apparently and is super cold, but I'm excited to be back at a World Cup again as my leg put me out for most of last season. And I'm really happy to have another chance on this famous course."

Quinn Moberg and Lauren Rosser remained in La Belle Provence to take part in the second Canada Cup race in Baie Saint-Paul, Que., on Sunday (May 29). According to Moberg, the conditions were extremely muddy and wet and he placed fifth in the Junior Men Expert category with a time of 1:42:14. Rosser also seemed to have issues with the conditions, as she failed to complete the race. Next up for the duo will be the third race in the series, which takes place in Ontario on Sunday (June 5).
