The 麻豆社国产United U15 boys team kicked off the season the right way, winning the gold medal match at the annual Chilliwack Youth Soccer Tournament on Sunday (Aug. 25).
The team played a total of four games Saturday (Aug. 24) and Sunday, going undefeated throughout.
The gold medal game saw 麻豆社国产score the winning goal against Chilliwack in the second half to pick up the 1-0 win. Goalkeeper Nicky Klimchuk-Brown picked up the shutout in the deciding game.
The 28th annual Chilliwack Youth Soccer Tournament featured teams from all over the Lower Mainland, including several from Squamish. Regular-season action begins for both travel and house teams in September.
