The Â鶹Éç¹ú²úUnited U15 boys team kicked off the season the right way, winning the gold medal match at the annual Chilliwack Youth Soccer Tournament on Sunday (Aug. 25).
The team played a total of four games Saturday (Aug. 24) and Sunday, going undefeated throughout.
The gold medal game saw Â鶹Éç¹ú²úscore the winning goal against Chilliwack in the second half to pick up the 1-0 win. Goalkeeper Nicky Klimchuk-Brown picked up the shutout in the deciding game.
The 28th annual Chilliwack Youth Soccer Tournament featured teams from all over the Lower Mainland, including several from Squamish. Regular-season action begins for both travel and house teams in September.
