Team 麻豆社国产excels on the roots, rocks and dirt of trails around the province, but the junior mountain bike team proved on Friday, Nov. 21 they can also compete with the best indoors.
The team travelled to the Burnaby Velodrome to test their indoor skills at the 2014 National Junior and U17 Track Championships, and posted strong showings.
Squamish鈥檚 Rhys Verner and Luke Di Marzo teamed up with Whistler鈥檚 Mahon Lamont and Felix Burke to capture a bronze medal in the junior (U19) team sprint division. The foursome also grabbed a fourth-place showing in the team pursuit race.
The 麻豆社国产trio of Sean Fincham, Ethan Toom and Hunter Verner managed a fourth place showing in both the team sprint and team pursuit in the U17 division.
The race was the final big event on the calendar for Team Squamish, but the team is taking applications for the 2015 team. Applications can be found online at www.teamsquamish.ca or at any of the three local bike shops.聽
