After reading your article “District Spends Extra $750,500 On Employee Pay In 2020” [published Oct. 28], I just had to write this letter.
The other pandemic we are faced with is plain and simple called greed. It is destroying Canada right in front of our eyes.
How on earth can anyone justify a pay raise of 13.5% to CAO Linda Glenday,
Their salaries are overinflated as it is. What do they do that makes them worth that kind of money?
This is government-sanctioned robbery, period.
As things are, we are sitting on a powder keg. Many fellow Canadians can barely afford daily living expenses. All this is under the watch full eye of our elected politicians.
Many people will be losing their homes as interest rates will eventually begin to rise. Crime will increase no doubt as people will no longer be able to afford basic things.
I am not worried about myself, but very much about our children and grandkids.
When will this insanity stop? Our so-called leaders are nothing but a bunch of self-serving crooks.
When will we have a taxpayer revolt? We desperately need one. Oh, I forgot, we stand on guard for thee.
