Amber Alert ends in Quebec after boy found safe

MARIEVILLE, Que. — Quebec provincial police have cancelled an Amber Alert after a missing nine-year-old boy was found safe.

MARIEVILLE, Que. — Quebec provincial police have cancelled an Amber Alert after a missing nine-year-old boy was found safe.

The news came less than an hour after the alert was issued saying police were looking for a 39-year-old woman in connection with the boy's disappearance this afternoon.

Police could not immediately provide details about any arrest in the case.

They say the boy had last been seen at about 1:50 p.m. in Marieville, Que., about 30 kilometres southeast of Montreal.

The Amber Alert was issued at around 5 p.m.
