The past several months have been hard to describe. In myriad ways, they鈥檝e been exciting or interesting days in the sense that, for better or for worse, there is always breaking news, and it affects everyone.

There鈥檚 a difference between going by bike and going for a bike ride. For people who are going for a ride, the trip is the trip. For people going by bike, the destination is the reason, not the journey.

It has occurred to me that a calamity, like the COVID-19 virus, can result in something beneficial, compelling us to change our ways.
